Kinsale is renowned for live music in pubs and this weekend is no exception. This weekend, music includes Irish Draught featuring Geno the Whistler at Sam’s Bar tonight, 24th February 2017, with The Stars playing The Blue Haven at 10pm and After Hours playing The Folkhouse at 10.30pm

Next week sees some interesting events, including the monthly lecture of Kinsale History Society on Thursday 2nd March 2017 at Kinsale Temperance Hall at 8pm with Terry Connolly in the lecture Chair. Archdeacon Tom Duggan, who had the new bridge, Kinsale, named in his honour, will be remembered in this lecture.

Very much an enigma, he was a grandson of a Fenian patriot, a veteran of the First and Second World Wars, he was also a strong supporter of the Independence movement and a rebel within Church circles. Possibly his greatest achievement was to set Kinsale on its current path of prosperity.

On Friday 3rd March, Songs of Love & Praise with the Castlecomer Male Voice Choir with special guests Dan Twomey & Julie O’Sullivan at 7.30pm at the Friary Kinsale in aid of Friary Renovation Fund.
