Kinsale Yacht Club welcomes the Davy Optimist Munster Championships this weekend with 142 entries pre-registered across 3 fleets. Good luck to all competitors, race officers and volunteers as a huge amount of support is required on and off the water for so many junior sailors.

Tonight Thursday 11th May, there is Traditional Irish Music with Arundo at 9.30pm at The Blue Haven and Darren Grimley plays Sam’s Bar. Also, there is a Teaching Demonstration with Una Fleming AOIFE, at St. Multose Hall at 8pm with Kinsale Garden & Flower Club and a recruitment evening at Kinsale RNLI from 7-9pm – All welcome.

This weekend, there is a Fundraising Table Quiz at The Lord Kingsale on Friday 12th May at 8pm for the new ‘Words by Water’ Kinsale Literary Festival. All welcome!
Also, Kinsale College Presents Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass from 8pm at the Circus Tent, Kinsale Kinsale College. There is also a matinee on Sunday 14th May at 2.30pm.
There is plenty of Live music On Friday, 12th May, The Frets play the Folkhouse at 10.30pm and Sound Dog plays Sam’s Bar. On Saturday 13th May, Roy Dolan plays the Armada Bar while Billy Crosbie has a gig at the Blue Haven at 10pm. Linda and the JC Swingers play the Folkhouse from 10pm. Tim O’Riordan plays the Trident Hotel and Blue Steel play the White House from 10.30pm. Resident DJs are at Hamlet’s and The Bacchus too!
