Kinsale Outdoor Education Centre

So much happening in Kinsale in July!

There is a fantastic range of activities in Kinsale this month, from summer camps, sporting events, arts exhibitions and festivals, historical, food and ghost tours as well as plenty of musical entertainment. You can check out the events calendar on www.kinsale.ie or follow us on social media too!

Don’t forget, the first Wednesday of every month is FREE entry to OPW properties and that includes Charles Fort, Kinsale one of Europe’s finest star shaped forts. Well worth a visit.

 

Kinsale Outdoor Education Centre, Oysterhaven Centre and Kinsale Yacht Club all have Summer sailing, windsurfing and multi-activity/adventure Camps underway for children, teens and adults. Other sports such as surfing, horse riding are also available in Kinsale.

Also, art classes with Philip Grey, Pottery, Ceramics and glassmaking with Kinsale Pottery, cooking fish, BBQ and Italian cooking with Kinsale Gourmet Academy at Ballinacurra House are just a few of the additional courses available in Kinsale.

The Kinsale Arts Weekend and Tracton Arts Festivals take place next weekend from 6th-9th July, both with fantastic programmes of events. See their websites and facebook pages for more details and booking information. Many events are free so please support and enjoy them!

Take Five at the Mill runs until 21st July Tues-Sundays from 12-5pm. There is a special artists talk with prolific artist Katherine Boucher Beug on Thursday 13th July at 5.15-6.00pm – not to be missed!

The Old Head of Kinsale Run 7k road race and family walk takes place this Sunday 9th July at 11.30am with registration in a number of categories up to 11am at Garrylucas Beach. All welcome!

The Kinsale & District Annual Lions Club Annual Cycle Challenge for sick children takes place on Saturday 15th July with two challenging routes 100km and 30km. See this link for information and registration details.

Cork Tri Club’s annual ‘King of the Hill‘ takes place on Saturday 22nd July at Castlepark, Kinsale. Come out and cheer on triathletes as they brave the ‘hill’ after the enduring swim and cycle! This is followed by the Kinsale Tri Club’s ‘Kidathalon’ that takes place takes place on Sunday 23rd July at 11am. Pre-registration essential.
