Words By Water Kinsale Literary Festival on This Weekend!

There is an action packed programme for everyone at the inaugural Kinsale Literary Weekend, entitled ‘Words By Water’. Congratulations to the hard working Committee for producing such an interesting programme. Click here for the full details and booking information. There are many FREE events and readings for children and young adults too!

Some festival evening events this evening include The Aidan Higgins Tribute at The Lord Kingsale at 7pm (Tickets €10). Have some Friday fun with Tara Flynn & Colm O’Regan at Actons Hotel at 9pm (Tickets €15). Or join in some traditional story telling with Seanachai Humphrey Moynihan at the Silent Banjo from 7pm.

Paul Howard aka Ross Carroll O’Kelly is live at The Trident Hotel on Saturday 7th October during the Kinsale Literary Weekend. Tickets €15

Kinsale Harbour Cruises is now operating at weekends only during October, before it has its winter rest. Also, Dermot Ryan’s Heritage Town Walks depart Kinsale Tourist Office at 10.30am daily while Don & Barry’s Kinsale Historical Stroll are operating daily from Kinsale Tourist Office at 11.15am.

St Multose National School hosts a Harvest Festival on Saturday 7th October at St. Multose Hall from 3-5pm. Free admission and all welcome to this family fun event.

 

There is plenty of Live music throughout the weekend and during the week with Eddie Pepper at Cocktail night at Sam’s Bar. Jimmy White plays the Silent Banjo from 10pm and Billy Crosbie plays the Marina Lounge at Vista from 8pm with the season’s Finale ‘Rat Pack Night’. Booking essential.

Don’t Forget October is Festivals month in Kinsale with the 41st Kinsale Gourmet Weekend 14th & 15th October and the Kinsale Lions Club Annual Walking Festival 21st and 22nd October. Although the Mad Hatters Food Trail is booked out on Sat 14th, there are still a few tickets remaining for the Fruits de Mer luncheon at Actons Hotel on Sunday 15th October. Walk it all off the following weekend with some super guided walking trails during the Kinsale Lions Walking Festival with a family fun walk too.
