Kinsale Food in the Weekend Papers

Kinsale and it’s food was mentioned in many of the Irish newspapers over the weekend. Not just for the upcoming 34th Bollinger Kinsale Gourmet Festival (next weekend, 8-10 October 2010), but also for winning awards!

Award Winning Smoked Salmon PateThe Blas na hÉireann Irish food awards were announced over the weekend and Kinsale’s own The Blue Haven Food Company walked away with a Bronze Medal for their Smoked Salmon Pate in the Terrine & Pates category and a Gold Medal for their Wholegrain Mustard & Honey Dressing in the Vinegars & Dressings category. To top it all they were honoured as winners of the AIB Award for Business Diversification.  Read more at .

In the Sunday Independent’s Life magazine reviewer Luncinda O’Sullivan mentions next weekend’s festival alongside great reviews of a few of Kinsale’s restaurants, including Good Food Circle Members Restaurant d’Antibes and Toddies at the Bulman.
