Over 1,000 to participate in Kinsale Pink Ribbon Walk

Over 1,000 people have registered for today’s Kinsale Pink Ribbon Walk to benefit Action Breast Cancer, a programme of the Irish Cancer Society that takes place at 12 noon in the Town Park and follows a 10k route around Kinsale.

This is a wonderful community event, bringing so many people together to raise awareness for breast cancer and support those affected by all cancers.

Special thanks are due to the hard-working Pink Ribbon Walk Committee and all the volunteers and helpers over the weekend. Also Sponsors, Kinsale Good Food Circle, Cully & Sully, Lidl and Tipperary Water for delicious refreshments after the walk. Also to Ambassadors Sharon Crosbie and Tara Flynn who have lent their energy and support promoting the walk and on the day. Sharon will perform at the closing ceremony at Actons Hotel, where there will be a big screen for the Ireland v England rugby match – all welcome.
