People of the Wild Atlantic Way project comes to Kinsale

If you have been wandering around Kinsale over the past few days, you may have noticed some fantastic black and white portraits in some shop windows, restaurants and bars.

These are the incredible work of photographer Shay Hunston, whose project ‘People of The Wild Atlantic Way’, has come alive in Kinsale and is attracting huge interest all this week.

Kinsale is the starting point or southern gateway of The Wild Atlantic Way and the exhibition runs until 12th June 2016. It is well worth walking around Main Street, Pearse Street, The Blue Haven Hotel, Kinsale Tourist Office, The Trident Hotel, Food U, The Bulman and The Carmelite Friary, to enjoy Shay’s work, meet some of the People of The Wild Atlantic Way and have a chat with them.

Some of those featured have lived and worked in Kinsale all their lives, others may have set up in business in recent years. However all give an insight or reflection to accompany their photo and have a story to tell.

Thank you Shay for spending time in Kinsale and for these beautiful portraits. Good luck with your travels and work along The Wild Atlantic Way. More photographs will be uploaded to www.shayhunstonphotography.com and shared on social media in the coming days.
