What’s on in Kinsale this Weekend!

The diary is hotting up with Aperitif’s tapas and wine tasting with Christy’s Wines tonight Thursday 9th February 2017 at 7,30pm.

Also, a meeting for anyone interested in the Kinsale Business Hub at the Keg Room @ Hamlet’s at 8pm and open evening of Kinsale Tri-Club at Actons Hotel 7.30-9.00pm.


Tomorrow, Friday 10th February 2017 is also busy as The Supper club re-opens Fridays & Saturdays from 6.30pm with a delicious new menu and tasty cocktails too! The Supper Club is now open for Sunday lunch from 12.30pm-3.30pm and for a special Valentine’s Night next Tuesday 14th February!

Don’t forget to book your table for Valentine’s Night at Finn’s Table, Twisted, Jim Edwards, The Man Friday, The Trident, Actons, The Blue Haven, The White House and many more restaurants are preparing special Valentine’s menus.

Twisted restaurant is now open for lunch from 12.30-2.30pm – another new addition for our lunching list!

Have you got your tickets for the Kinsale Lions Club 1st Brigade Army Band concert at St. John’s Church on Friday 10th February at 8pm? Tickets €10 from Boathouse Gallery or Maurice Murphy, Main Street, Kinsale.

Also, Kinsale GAA Annual Dinner Dance on Friday 10th February at Macdonald Kinsale Hotel. Tickets available from Maurice Murphy’s. This promises to be a great night with the Ladies Munster Junior Champions in attendance.

Actons Leisure Centre have extended their membership special offer until Thursday 16th February with 3 months couple’s membership just €265.
On Saturday 11th February, the Liam Mannering Band play at Actons Hotel. Tickets €10. Doors 9pm, starts 9.45pm. Niall McCabe plays the Blue Haven and the Fantasy Jam Band play the Folkhouse at 10pm.

On Sunday 12th February 2017, the Official Launch of the Fleadh Cheoil Chorcaí takes place at Actons at 7pm. We are looking forward to hearing about all the exciting events taking place in April!

Also on Sunday night, King K play the Folkhouse at 9pm and the Americhanics play Sam’s Bar.

Finally, Gaelscoil Chionn tSaile needs YOUR help to vote for their two finalists’ designs. Doodles by local students Archie Ó Ceilleacháin from Senior Infants and Juliette Nic an Taoisigh from 1st class have both been chosen for that shortlist. Archie and Julliette along with just 75 other finalists from around the country will travel to Google HQ in Dublin on 3rd April 2017 for the final and have a very good chance to win a €5,000 college scholarship and a €10,000 technology grant for the school.  The winning doodle will also appear on main google page for a week.

To vote for Archie go to, find his Doodle titled ‘Tractorland in the sky’ under Group 1 and click ‘Vote for this doodle’.
