What’s on in Kinsale this Weekend!

The Kinsale Calendar of Events is filling up quickly with something happening every day and weekends are getting quite busy! Today is Daffodil Day and hundreds of volunteers are selling daffodils for the Irish Cancer Society so please support them in Kinsale and wherever you are.

The Armada has live music with Woodstock tonight and a Daffodil Day Raffle at midnight. The Alan Murphy plays the Blue Haven at 10pm and Afterhours play the Folkhouse at 10.30pm. It’s cocktail night at Sam’s Bar with Niall McCabe.

Don & Barry’s Historic Stroll and Dermot Ryan’s Kinsale Heritage Walks are back open daily from Kinsale Tourist Office as is Jerome Lordan’s Kinsale Harbour Cruise on Saturdays and Sundays at 2pm in March and Atlantic Offshore Adventures are busy on the Pier Head. Keep a look out for Easter camps at Kinsale Outdoor Education Centre as well as other activity centres.

Tomorrow Saturday, Kinsale Age Friendly Town information morning at the Temperance Hall from 10am-12.30pm – All Welcome. Rogue Fitness will be demonstrating the outdoor gym at Archdeacon Duggan Bridge around 12.45!

Also Rogue Institute are hosting an Open Day at The Glen from 10am – 4pm. All welcome to hear about courses and programmes available.

Kinsale Scouts have a Car Wash Fundraiser behind the Fire Station from 10am-4pm and a used clothes collection at the New Road Car Park from 10am-2pm – your support is greatly appreciated.

Music wise, Jerome Rimson & the Bad Boy Blues play the Folkhouse at 10pm, DJ Niall plays Hamlets, the Odd Couple play Sam’s Bar, Tim O’Riordan plays the Trident Hotel at 9.30pm and Blue Steel play the White House at 10.30.

Sunday 26th March is Mother’s Day where there are lots of lovely lunch and afternoon tea menus at various hotels and restaurants. Macdonald Hotel is making a €5 donations to Edel House, Good Shepherd Cork for every Sunday Lunch booked.

The Blue Haven has Trad sessions at 8.30pm as King K play the Folkhouse at 9pm and the Americhanics play Sam’s Bar in their Sunday residency.
On Tuesday 28th March 2017, evening training recommences for Kinsale & Dock Rowing Club from 6.30pm (weather permitting) at The Slipway in Castlepark.
On Wednesday 29th March 2017, there is a Fashion Show in aid of Down Syndrome Cork Field of Dreams at Actons Hotel at 7.30pm.

We are gearing up for a busy weekend on Friday 7th-Sunday 9th April 2017 in Kinsale with Bank of Ireland Enterprise Towns, Kinsale Street Food Festival and The All Ireland Chowder Cook Off – more information to follow next week!
