Kinsale Food Tours

Kinsale Food Tours are walking daytime food tours that explore the tantalising treats and fascinating food history of Kinsale. Food is an integral part of what makes Kinsale the Gourmet Capital of Ireland and we happily guide your tummy on a culinary adventure. These tours give you unique access ‘behind the scenes’ to see what makes the food and its producers so special.

With so many glorious venues on our doorstep, Kinsale is a mecca for tourists and Irish alike who flock here for our wonderful food. For locavores this is a particular treat, having a rich hinterland and coastline which provides us with the freshest and most fabulous food and people.

The tour lasts 2 – 2.5 hours approximately and is akin to a walking meal, so come hungry!

We run extended tours (~3 – 3.5 hours) which include the tasting tour and a foraging trip. This tour allows you to sample the delicious food of Kinsale while also travelling to a local haven to learn about the wild seaweeds, plants and shellfish that adorn its coastline.

For those who love their food and drink, we have a combined food and drinks tour (~3 hours). We do the traditional food tour then go to taste some fine whiskies/mead which is made at our own local meadery!

Our tours can be catered to all dietary requirements including vegetarians, vegans and coeliacs.

Morning tour daily from 10.30 am– 1.00 pm.
Afternoon tour daily from 2.30 – 5pm

These times are subject to availability. Please check our website for up to date prices and bookings.

Fantastic Experience !!!!

We had such a fantastic day out with Suzanne, who introduced us to some fabulous food and such lovely people who took so much pride in what they were offering, plus we also learnt about the history of Kinsale. Suzanne has a great sense of humour, and so easy to get on with, we just spent the day laughing, eating and drinking, it was brilliant !! Come hungry as the portions are BIG !!!
If in Kinsale you have to do this tour with Suzanne.

Hen party food tour

I would highly recommend Suzanne and her excellent Food tour! We went on the tour as part of a hen and it was so enjoyable! Suzanne met our group and had a lovely way of making sure everyone enjoyed the tour and relaxed! The tour was the perfect blend of good fun, interesting facts about Kinsale and food, and sampling some lovely locally produced cuisine from four different eateries. The tour was like a walking meal… we began with Starters, then moved on to main and finally dessert in the last venue! Suzanne has a list of restaurants and eateries that she works with so the tour is always varied! The tour was a really lovely way to begin a hen party! It was so relaxed and enjoyable! I learned things I never knew about food and Kinsale! Overall a Fab tour that any group would enjoy! Thanks again Suzanne! Would strongly recommend you to anyone!

Such an amazing experience

This food tour is fantastic! It was so much more than a food tour, it was a real taste of the culture of Kinsale. Delicious foods woven with fascinating stories about the history of Kinsale and just a genuinely fantastic day. Thoroughly enjoyable, and I won’t be able to eat for a week! Suzanne was an amazing hostess and guide. It was just so much fun.

Food tour treat

As part of our recent break in Cork we booked the food tour with Suzanne in advance given Kinsale’s reputation for being an Irish foodie mecca we thought it would be an ideal way to see around and eat some delicious food along the way! We were right. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour from start to finish. Suzanne was knowledgeable not only about the food but also gave great insight and historical info of the town itself. Would highly recommend the tour to anyone visiting the area.
