Kinsale Regatta Festival underway this Weekend!

As the Annual Kinsale Regatta Festival gets underway, Kinsale town welcomes visitors and locals to get involved in the full programme of activities on and off the water.

Also, welcome to the organisers, speakers and delegates of The Abroad Writers Conference that takes place in Kinsale from today 4th to 11th August, with a full programme of guest speakers, interesting events and readings. You can click here for details.

Kinsale RNLI holds its annual fundraising RAFT Race Tomorrow Saturday 5th August from the Bulman at 3pm with a Party on the Pier afterwards. Please sponsor your favourite raft and give generously as the fisherman’s catch will be sold on the pier. Thanks also to artist Philip Grey who will create a painting live on the pier that will be auctioned for Kinsale RNLI. See the Irish Examiner on Thursday 3rd August by clicking here.

Also the RNLI Open Day takes place on Sunday 6th August and annual lifeboat collection during the weekend.  Thank you for your continual support.

The Children’s Regatta also takes place tomorrow Saturday 5th August with races on the Pier and  swimming in Sandycove. Monster Fireworks are on Sunday 6th August at 10.15pm and thanks to all local businesses who sponsored these for everyone’s enjoyment. The popular water carnival is on Bank Holiday Monday 7th August as well as the annual Kinsale Yacht Club sailing Regatta on Saturday and Sunday. The Regatta Festival continues throughout the week.
