Calm in Kinsale following #OpheliaStorm

Kinsale is rebuilding following damage from Storm Ophelia. Thanks to Cork County Council and everyone who has been helping with the clear up. See this article from for a report on storm damage. Thankfully, electricity has just been restored to Kinsale town. Hopefully power can be restored to surrounding areas as soon as possible.

Some reports say Kinsale is being prioritised so that businesses and schools can re open, hopefully on Wednesday 18th October.  If and when you have electricity / coverage, keep an eye on social media as well as The Kinsale Advertiser

Remember Kinsale Lions Walking Festival takes place next weekend 21st and 22nd October with scenic and coastal guided walks around 15km and a family fun walk on Sunday 22nd October (5km) to benefit Kinsale & District Lions Club local charities. See for details.
