St. Patrick’s Weekend got off to a fantastic start with the Maritime Parade from KYC and magnificent fireworks on Friday night.
The Main Parade was excellent and enjoyed by everyone, despite the cold easterly wind. However, we all warmed up with the excitement of Ireland winning the rugby Grand Slam in Twickenham!
Congratulations to Grand Marshall, Kevin Gould of Kinsale RNLI and the hard working St. Patrick’s Day Committee for all your hard work again this year. (Parade photos: Hostynsky Photography)
Then, the launch of the 30th Anniversary Heineken Kinsale 7s took place at the Macdonald Kinsale Hotel with guests rugby pundit, Brent Pope and Irish International and 7s player, Tania Rosser.
Next stop a busy Easter in Kinsale with the rescheduled Pink Ribbon Walk on 8th April, Street Food Festival on 21st April and All Ireland Chowder Cook Off on 22nd April, followed by the Heineken Kinsale 7s over the May Bank Holiday Weekend 5th & 6th May.
Kinsale is well and truly open for business!
