BREAKING NEWS : Kinsale has been awarded RAI Top Foodie Town 2018

Kinsale, Co. Cork has been selected The Restaurants Association of Ireland’s ‘Top Foodie Town’ in the 2018 competition at a reception at Lisnavagh House, Co. Carlow this evening.

“We are thrilled to have been awarded this honour as Ireland’s Top Foodie Town and wish to thank the judges for selecting Kinsale and everyone for voting Kinsale this year, said Ciaran Fitzgerald, Chairman Kinsale Chamber of Tourism & Business.

“Kinsale Chamber worked closely with Kinsale Good Food Circle, Kinsale Food Tours and all restaurants, bars and cafes to highlight the best of Kinsale as a foodie destination – it was a great team effort and we are delighted to celebrate our foodie reputation.” He added.

The ‘Foodie Destination of Ireland’ award recognises a destination that actively promotes itself through joint promotional activities such as food festivals, gourmet trails or farmers’ markets as well as great dining experiences. This award was won by Kilkenny with Boyne Valley as runners-up.
