Kinsale Chamber convened a meeting of the Executive Committee to take expert advice and agree a strategy for our response to the above application.
The Chambers purpose is primarily to market the town of Kinsale and then also represent its members on matters that impact the future of the town. We have taken time to gather the correct information and make an informed decision on the correct course of action for the Chamber.
We feel it is vital for any submission being made by the Chamber that we are fully informed with all the relevant facts with regard to the application and have set out an agreed list of questions and concerns, which the Chamber will be raising with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine prior to the submission date.
Given the deadline for submission of March 6th 2019, we will make our submission available to members in due course and are currently engaging professional consultants in this area to collate and submit informed observations and questions. We have also informed Failte Ireland and the OPW of the application for their review and comment and we are currently liaising with Failte Ireland in this regard.
