They are waiting on clarification from the relevant authorities before they take bookings for these activities. As soon as they are good-to-go, they plan to be in touch with everyone who has made an enquiry or who booked with them in 2019!
The team at the Oysterhaven Activity Centre have been busy over the last number of weeks planning how it will be possible to run Watersports while observing social distancing. Since last week their Senior Instructors have been on-site putting in place the protocols and procedures that will safeguard the health and safety of both their staff and clients.
The plan is to to introduce Kayak and SUP rental on a daily basis from 2.00pm until 8.00pm. This will not be available on a walk-in basis, but must be pre-booked for specific slots and pre-paid before arrival to avoid congestion on site.
Starting from TODAY they are now offering the following daily activities (in addition to the Kayak and SUP rentals) :
Family Fun – Small groups from the same family “bubble” enjoying an hour together or a morning or afternoon of a combination of water-sports, sailing, kayaking, SUP, windsurfing and a romp around our Jungle Quest adventure course.
Taster Courses: Two and a half hour “taster” courses in single handed dinghies or windsurfers.
Sea Kayak Safari: Small groups of three kayakers with an instructor to explore the creeks and coves of Oysterhaven Bay.
Phase 3 of the Road Map starts on June 29th and we will start to roll out 5 day training courses in Dinghy sailing and Windsurfing.
Many people want to know what is happening with the centres Summer Camps – and so do they! 🙂
