After a year of being apart, human reconnection is so important to us all and this series of interviews showcasing a host of local characters will reconnect you with Kinsale. Kit’s upcoming exhibition ‘Being Home’ runs from July 8th – 22nd and is a collection of work created from life in beautiful places around Kinsale. Learn about Kit’s background, his training, the highlight of his career, what he loves about Kinsale and all about his latest exhibition.

Mary and Brian miss serving their customers in their bar, The Tap Tavern, they tell us about how their customers have reached out to them during Lockdown and what being able to reopen the pub will mean to them.

Jim shows us around the stunning golf course perched on the cliffs above the Atlantic Ocean, tells us about the history of the business, what it brings to the town and all that Kinsale has meant to him.

Jerome regales us with tales of Kinsale’s storied past while taking us on a relaxing cruise around the harbour, showing us the sights and telling us fascinating pieces of the town’s history that even most locals don’t know!

Pearse tells us the history of the iconic Bulman Bar, tells us how important reopening after Covid is to him, tells us the secrets to running a business with your spouse and shows us his very impressive lobster catching skills!

James Lyons, co-founder of the incredible organisation Sailing into Wellness, tells us all about their unique approach to rehabilitating and helping people overcome their issues through being in nature out at sea, how Kinsale is the ideal setting for his business and what the town means to him.

Mary Evans’ family have a long history with the town and their shop, Cronins, has stood in the town for nearly 100 years! Hear Mary’s expertise on retail, tales of the story of the gift shop, what she loves about Kinsale and what she’s going to do when the town finally reopens after Covid.

Get to know Laura Jane Walsh, whose family have ran a vintage jewellery shop for nearly 40 years. Listen to what she loves about Kinsale and how the strong sense of community in the town has helped her succeed in her business!
