Meet Nic & Cian, your visual storytelling experts!

Recently the dynamic duo moved their photo and video production company, Lost Studios, to Kinsale and we caught up with them to find out a little bit more about them and all the exciting projects they’ve worked on!

Here’s what they had to say:

“Establishing our video and photo production company, Lost Studios, has been an adventure from the first minute.

We launched, like all sensible people would, mid-lockdown in Dublin in 2020. Having both studied and worked in Dublin for over ten years, it seemed like natural next step, and if we eventually wanted to make it home to Kinsale and still be able to do what we love, we wanted to do it our way.

Luckily, fate favoured us and the first job we picked up was producing a music video for Sony Music Germany and Irish TikTok sensation Robert Grace, managing a set of forty cast and crew for his debut single Fake Fine.

With this under our belts, we soon found ourselves collecting more clients both commercial and creative. In the three years since, we’ve produced content for household names such as Guinness, Jameson, Dyson, Renault, TikTok, Smithwick’s and Specsavers to name just a few. Last year we even helped Mr. Tayto complete his bucket list, taking him on safari in Zimbabwe, dune trekking in Namibia, sight-seeing in the United States, and a whistle-stop tour of Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way.

As well as working with high-profile businesses and household name clients, we also love to work with local and smaller businesses, artists and individuals. That is part of the reason we brought our business home to Kinsale. The characters and stories that populate Kinsale and West Cork are unique. If we can do what we love, living in the place we love and all the while help it to prosper, well, that seems pretty sweet to us.

The next step in our adventure will be the development of a fully functional studio space on Compass Hill, complete with all the essential equipment required by photographers and filmmakers alike. The studio will also include a three walled cyclorama; this will be one of only two studios in the whole of Munster to have this feature. This studio space will be available to hire for local creatives, artists, and photographers, as well as serve as our new HQ. It’s something we’re extremely excited about and we can’t wait to launch it later this year.

We’re always happy to discuss a project of any size, so don’t be afraid to reach out to us even if it’s just for a coffee and a hello! “
