Located in one of the oldest and most charming buildings in Kinsale, Le Bistro offers a warm and welcoming dining experience at 3 Cork Street.
The story of Le Bistro began when owners Emily and Regis, while taking a break from their busy café in Galway, visited Kinsale and immediately fell in love with the town’s vibrant atmosphere and stunning surroundings. After several return trips, an irresistible opportunity presented itself — and in December 2024, Le Bistro officially opened its doors.
Le Bistro is deceptively spacious, offering seating for 50 guests with plenty of room between tables for a relaxed and comfortable experience. A cosy alcove provides a quieter space ideal for families or anyone seeking a peaceful spot for breakfast or lunch. In addition to its charming indoor setting, Le Bistro features a stunning outdoor seating area — perfect for enjoying a leisurely summer lunch and a glass of wine in the fresh air.
Open from 8am Monday to Saturday (closed Tuesday) and from 9am on Sundays, Le Bistro serves a delicious breakfast menu made with locally sourced Irish ingredients wherever possible. The kitchen focuses on simple, flavour-packed dishes, with favourites like the Mushroom Tartine and their signature “Kelly’s Hash” winning over both visitors and locals alike.
Lunch is served daily from 12 noon to 3:30pm, offering a tempting selection of hot dishes and a thoughtfully curated sandwich menu. Highlights include the house-made Gnocchi, a classic Caesar Salad, and the mouthwatering Pork Belly Ciabatta.
