Step inside and you’ll find stunning stained glass windows, polished oak flooring, intricate encaustic tiling, marble steps, and a beautifully carved oak pulpit. The Centre also houses a beautiful mahogany organ, adding a touch of grandeur to any event.

Over the years, St. Catherine’s has hosted a wide range of events – from art exhibitions and theatre performances to intimate family celebrations, civil ceremonies, film screenings, and unforgettable live music shows. Notable performers include Lisa Hannigan, Iarla O Loinaird, Loah, Rob Strong, Josh Burnside, and Wexford Opera. And there’s still plenty more to come!

St. Catherine’s is managed by a dedicated group of local residents who, recognizing the building’s historical and cultural significance, came together to purchase and restore the former church. They established a registered charity, St. Catherine’s Cultural Centre Kinsale CLG, with the mission of preserving the space as a community hub for cultural, historical, and family events. Through ongoing fundraising and volunteer efforts, the team continues to enhance the venue, ensuring it remains a vibrant and accessible space for the people of Kinsale and beyond.
