An unforgettable evening of traditional Irish music comes to Kinsale as legendary fiddler Frankie Gavin and acclaimed pianist Catherine McHugh take to the stage for a special live performance curated by Music Capital.

Best known as the co-founder of the iconic folk group Dé Danann, Frankie Gavin is widely regarded as one of the greatest traditional Irish musicians of all time. A multiple All-Ireland fiddle and flute champion, Gavin’s remarkable career has seen him collaborate with artists including Sharon Shannon, Stéphane Grappelli, Elvis Costello, Artie McGlynn, and even The Rolling Stones. Following recent performances with the Roaring 20s Irish Orchestra and the Monte Carlo Philharmonic in Monaco, he continues to captivate audiences with the same energy and brilliance that have defined his career for decades.
Joining him is East Galway pianist Catherine McHugh, celebrated for her sensitive accompaniment and deep roots in Irish traditional music. Recently returned from a U.S. tour with Cherish the Ladies, McHugh also features on Gavin’s acclaimed album Port Éireann.
Together, the duo promise a powerful and intimate celebration of Irish music at its very best.
