About the Event

K-Works is delighted to bring you another captivating Third Thursday installment. This month, we invite you to a very special, free preview event ahead of the upcoming Kinsale Arts Weekend.

Join local ghost hunter and acclaimed performer David Peare for an exclusive first look at a spellbinding new audio project that gives a voice to Kinsale’s most silent observers: its benches.

For generations, Kinsale’s benches have borne quiet witness to the rhythm of daily life—to gossip and grief, passionate declarations and heated rows, the salty sea air, and the passing weather. This year, they finally begin to speak back.

What to Expect

This project is a uniquely local portrait of our town, blending storytelling, performance, and place. Across Kinsale, a series of short audio stories will soon invite visitors to pause, sit, and experience the town through:

• Memory & Folklore: Reliving the tales that shaped our community.

• Observation & Imagination: Seeing familiar views through a completely new lens.

Some stories are rooted in rich history, others in local hearsay. Some may even be entirely invented. Together, they create a portrait of Kinsale that is part memoir, part mythology, and part playful.
