Michael talks about his books, his journalism and his love of books in what promises to be a very lively and enlightening discussion.

Michael Moynihan is a senior sportswriter with The Irish Examiner and author of books on sports, politics and history. He has also written for the Washington Post and The Observer. He is a contributor to RTÉ, TG4 and Today FM and he has co-produced the TV documentaries GAA Nua, GAA Eile and The Game.

His books include Crisis and Comeback, published in 2018, a compelling narrative of Cork’s economic slump in the 1980’s to its present day status as a high-tec hub;  GAAconomics, a detailed inside story of how money courses through the GAA; Blood Brothers, the inside story of Cork hurling between 1996 and 2008.

Marjorie Brennan is a journalist who has written extensively on arts and culture for the Irish Examiner.  She holds a Masters degree in Digital Arts and Humanities in UCC, from which her main research topic was feminist activism and social media.
