Kinsale Pottery and Arts Centre are running  3 drop-in pottery classes per week for adults and teens! These will take place Wednesday evenings (6.45pm-9.45pm)  and Monday and Thursday mornings (10.00am to 1.00pm)  from July 20th until November 19th This half-day course is suitable for adults and teens, beginners and those with some pottery experience. Raku means Joy through making and it is an ancient Japanese firing process. Have you ever thought of trying Raku pottery? You may not have used a raku kiln, but you may have seen the pottery before, or you may not. This technique is exciting, and makes use of a gas fired outdoor kiln which takes about 45 minutes to reach 1000 degrees. They are offering a 4-day course which takes place from 24-27th July and a 3-day course from 21-23rd August! Kinsale Pottery – Family and Couples Half-Day Pottery Session

Kinsale Pottery are delighted to announce their dates for Family and Couples half-day pottery classes. Dates: August 2nd, August 9th, August 30, Sept 6, Sept 20, Oct 4, Oct 18  Times: 10am-1pm or 2.30pm-5.30pm  Cost: Couples €80, Families (max 2 adults and 2 children) €150  Larger group sizes - contact [email protected] for a price.  With social distancing restrictions on classes, we’ve come up with a new way of enjoying a  family or couples pottery experience. Bring your family group (you need to be living under  one roof) and have a teaching room all to yourselves. We’re gong to run four rooms, with  one family per room. The recommended number per family is 5, but we have space for  more.  Alternatively, you can also book as a couple, sharing our large teaching room with one or  two other couples, maintaining social distance. We will stagger the start time at 10 minute  intervals when you book, so that we can give you an introduction and set you up without  too many people together. You’ll work in your own room, and the tutor will circulate  throughout the three hours, with appropriate PPE. The session will include three individual  hand-building projects, which you will leave to be dried, biscuit fired and glazed, ready for  collection after 1-2 weeks.  To Book:   https://www.kinsaleceramics.com/courses-1/family-and-couples    Family and Couples Half Day Pottery Classes at Kinsale Pottery.
